Sunday 6th November at Chiringuito Naturista, Av Ciudad de Castelon, Vera Playa.
There will be many individual and unusual handmade goods with a great selection of stalls including embroidered goose eggs, bobbin lace jewellery, Christmas tree ornaments, handmade cards and soaps, wooden puzzles and hand knitted goods, Indalo Art ceramics and jewellery, plus jams and marmalades.
Some local artists will be exhibiting their work, plus Hecho a Mano and Linda will be selling their patchwork and card making supplies and British knitting wools.
This is a charity event in aid of Asprodalba and will take place from 12 noon until 5pm.

Would you like to have a dog but don’t want the Vet’s bills? Or perhaps you do not live here all year round. We have over 60 dogs in our kennels large and small, some have been there since they were young pups. Many have never had a home, or someone to love them. Could you give one of them a foster home? We pay all of their vet’s bills, we will even get them spayed or neutered, all you have to do is look after them as if they were your own. Bring them back when you go away or can no longer have them. Frankel ridden to victory in the 2000 Guineas

This month always provides some fabulous racing with the Eclipse at Sandown, the July festival at Newmarket followed by the Darley Cup at the same track and the Betfair week-end at Ascot. But with the summer sun still high in the sky, Pimms flowing and more than it’s fair share of glamorous celebrities swanning about “The World’s Most Beautiful Race Course”, Glorious Goodwood is surely the highlight. With five days of high-class racing on the banks of the Lavant, the meet has plenty for us in the Levante to look forward to.

Two of the season’s 31 Grade 1 races are held here; the feature race of the last day The Nassau Stakes, giving punters an excellent opportunity to end the week with a win and The Sussex Stakes on the second day.The Sussex Stakes is always a great contest bringing together the best of Europe’s milers but promises to be a really special one this year should the leading contenders both run: Frankel and Canford Cliffs.

The race has been open to horses of all ages since 1975, allowing runners to extend their Group 1 careers, although 3yo have dominated the race for most of its history. Last year’s winner Canford Cliffs looks set to run as 4yo and whilst he should not necessarily be ruled out on this, no horse has ever won the Sussex Stakes twice. 2000 Guineas winners have done well in recent years and perhaps Frankel can become the next to emulate this and give Henry Cecil his first double sine Bolkonski (1975) and Wollow (1976). This will be first time that he has run against older horses but is odds-on to beat his elders.

Aidan O’Brien’s stable have completed the double more recently with Henrythenavigator in 2008 and Rock of Gibraltar in 2002 and O’Brien scored with Giant’s Causeway in 2000 and Rip Van Winkle in 2009. This year he again has a number of interesting entries for the race including the former Australian trained sensation So You Think who runs in the Eclipse earlier in the month.
