To do your detox you need to go shopping. Here are some ideas for your 9 days eating regime.
REMEMBER you must drink at least 2l of water a day
Breakfast ideas:
Buy
-
A mixture of seeds – pumpkin, sunflower, sesame and flax. Combine them all and sprinkle over most of your breakfast options.

Breakfast oats (whole oats better), Museli, low sugar corn based cereals.

Fresh fruit of all varieties, including citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruits, lemons) and orange fruits (Mangos, papaya, nectarine, peach, apricots, nisperos) also carrots for juicing if you have a juicer.

Soya milk or rice milk
Breakfast suggestions
- Muesli with soya milk – high in seeds, or add extra
- Grapefruit sprinkled with seeds
- Fruit salad with seeds sprinkled over porridge with chopped fruit and seeds
- Fruit smoothie sprinkled with seeds
Snack ideas:
Buy
- avocados
- lemons
- corn on the cob
- apples
- pears,
- nectarines
- plums
(which ever of these fruits or similar are in season), - carrots and cucumber (for crudités)
- bananas
- unsalted nuts (cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, brazil)
- dried fruit (red currents, apricots, prunes, raisins, mixed currents etc)
- Jars of chick peas, olives
- Crisp breads, namely rice cakes and corn cakes and rye breads, (but remember no wheat)
Snack suggestions
- Guacamole with crudités or crisp breads
- Hummus (make with the chick peas) with crudités or crisp bread
- Piece of fruit with a few mixed nuts
- Corn on the cob with a little nut oil or olive oil and pepper
- Olives, nuts and dried fruit
Lunch/dinner ideas:
Buy:
- Green vegetables (spinach, cabbage, broccoli)
- orange veg (carrots, sweet potato, sweed, squash)
- coloured peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and all other kinds of veg and salad that you like of all different colours.
- Lean cold meats
- Fresh oily fish (trout, mackerel, salmon)
- Tinned oily fish of all varieties – tuna, sardines, mackerel, salmon,
- Eggs
- Tofu
- Lean mince
- Soya mince
- Potatoes
- Rice (integral or Basmati are better),
- Rice pasta
- Tinned baked beans
- Pesto
- Fresh herbs – fresh basil, fresh coriander, fresh parsley
Lunch/dinner suggestions
- Salad with dressing, sprinkled with nuts and seeds, crisp breads, tinned fish or cold meat.
- Small jacket potato with baked beans and boiled or poached eggs
- Fresh fish (grilled, poached or baked) with rice or jacket potato and salad or roasted vegetables.
- Soup suggestions: Leek and potato, Carrot and coriander, Avocado and cucumber, gazpacho
- Stuffed peppers (include some nuts and seeds, rice, lean mince or soya mince) with salad
- cottage pie (use lean mince and leave the skins on the mash potato) served with green veg
Desert suggestions
- Fruit salad
- Piece of fruit, melon, banana,
- Fruit juice, fruit smoothie
