BIG WEDNESDAY
Big Wednesday (1978) – Beginning on Malibu Beach southern California in 1962, three buddies, Matt the Enforcer, Leroy the Masochist and Jack are the best surfers on the beach. They revel in the life of fun, girls, partying and surf, until that is, reality comes crashing in. They are forced to face the consequences of their actions and the changing world around them, not least the draft for the Vietnam War. Years later the greatest swell ever is coming on Big Wednesday. The three friends meet to ride the wave, confront their past and leave it behind. This is THE classic surf movie. Square Eyes - The Sentinella - June 2011

Get the motor runnin’ – Easy Rider (1969)
The quintessential road movie that marked a dramatic shift of power from the studios to an upcoming generation of avant-garde, auteur directors and the start of the “New Hollywood.” Peter Fonda and Denis Hopper star as two bikers on the way to the Mardi Gras in New Orleans financed by a drugs deal. The film is about the counter culture of the 1960s and the rise and fall of the hippie movement. The soundtrack says it all. Square Eyes - The Sentinella – May 2011
